Foodics gives you direct CSV exports for everything we need. You'll spend about 15 minutes pulling files from the Console, upload them to your secure portal, and our team rebuilds your menu inside Shareabill within 72 hours.
Five CSV files, all generated directly from the Foodics Console. You don't need API access, developer keys, or anything technical.
Open console.foodics.com in any browser and log in as the account owner or a user with menu-management permissions.
From the left menu, navigate to:
Click Export Products. Foodics will generate a CSV file containing every product, with columns for name, category, price, SKU, tax group, cost, and localized name. Save it to a folder you'll remember — name the file something like foodics-products.csv.
Stay in the menu, but switch to:
Run two exports here: Modifiers (the groups, like "Choose your size") and Modifier Options (the actual choices, like "Small / Medium / Large"). You'll end up with two separate CSV files.
From the main left menu, go to:
This pulls your full guest database with names, phone numbers, emails, and order history references.
From the configuration area, go to Settings → Taxes and export your tax group list. This is usually quick — most restaurants in the UAE just have a single 5% VAT group, but service charges and zero-rated items also live here.
If you'd like Shareabill to show analytics from day one, we can also import the last 6–12 months of sales history. From Reports → Sales, select the date range, and use the Export button to download a CSV.
This step is optional — skip it if you'd rather start with a clean slate.
After you submit the onboarding form, we email you a unique upload link. Drag your CSVs into the portal — they're encrypted in transit and at rest, and only the migration specialist assigned to your account can access them.
Don't worry about file naming or order. Just drop them in.
Within 72 hours, your migration specialist sends you a side-by-side preview: your old menu in Foodics on one side, the rebuilt Shareabill version on the other. You flag anything that looks off — wrong category, missing modifier, price mismatch — and we fix it before going live.
When you click approve, your QR codes activate and guests can start ordering.
Almost always a UTF-8 encoding issue. Re-save the file using File → Save As → CSV UTF-8 (.csv) in Excel, or use Google Sheets which handles UTF-8 by default. If that doesn't fix it, just send us the original CSV and we'll handle the encoding on our end.
Yes. Most restaurants run both systems for 1–2 weeks during the changeover. Your Foodics POS keeps working as normal; Shareabill goes live for QR ordering and bill-splitting on the day you approve. There's no forced cutover.
Run the exports once at the parent-account level — Foodics includes branch information in each row. We'll split the data by location automatically when we import.
Foodics stores photo URLs in the export. We'll fetch them and re-host on Shareabill's CDN automatically. If photo quality is low (under 800px), we'll flag it during the preview so you can supply better ones.
Submit your onboarding form and a migration specialist will reach out within 24 hours to schedule a 30-minute walkthrough — or just send the files and we'll take it from there.
