Posist (now branded as Restroworks in some markets) doesn't expose a self-serve export tool to end users — exports are run by Posist's support team on request. The good news: you only need to send one email, and we coordinate the rest with their team directly.
Unlike Foodics or Square, you can't pull the data yourself from the Posist Console. Posist's data extraction goes through their support team — but we've done this enough times to make it painless.
Start with the onboarding form. Pick "Posist" as your current POS — your migration specialist will be assigned automatically and copied on every step that follows.
Send an email to support@posist.com (or your dedicated Posist account manager if you have one) requesting a data export. Copy your Shareabill migration specialist on the email.
Here's a template you can copy-paste:
Typical turnaround is 3–5 business days. Posist may ask you to confirm authorization (since the data includes guest contacts) or to specify exact outlets. Reply quickly to keep things moving.
Once Posist sends the files, drop them into your secure upload portal (link sent after onboarding). If they sent the files as email attachments, just forward the email to your migration specialist — we'll save the attachments to the encrypted store.
Don't worry about file format, naming, or order — Posist's exports vary between accounts and we handle the mapping.
Within 48 hours of receiving the data, your migration specialist:
You receive a side-by-side preview: original Posist menu on one side, rebuilt Shareabill version on the other. Flag anything that looks wrong — wrong category, missing modifier, price mismatch — and we fix it before going live.
When you click approve, your QR codes activate and guests can start ordering through Shareabill.
It's rare, but it happens — usually around end-of-contract or billing disputes. Under most jurisdictions (and definitely under DIFC DPL if you operate in Dubai), you have a right to receive your own customer data in a portable format. If Posist pushes back, your migration specialist will help you escalate. We've never had a request go unfulfilled.
Yes — most restaurants run both systems for 1–2 weeks during the transition. We don't ask you to cancel Posist before going live with Shareabill. When you're ready to fully cut over, you can give Posist your contractual notice.
If your menu items are routed to specific kitchens (e.g. cold kitchen vs. hot kitchen vs. bar), let your migration specialist know. We can reconstruct that routing inside Shareabill but it's worth confirming separately since it doesn't always come through cleanly in Posist's export.
Under DIFC DPL, transferring guest contact data to Shareabill requires that your existing privacy notice covers transfer to platforms like ours. Your Shareabill migration agreement includes this confirmation, and any guest can opt out of the migrated record at any time. We act as a processor for this data on your behalf.
Submit your onboarding form and within 24 hours your migration specialist sends you a pre-filled email request to Posist support, copied on every reply. Hands-off after that.
